Picnics

Everyone likes to eat, NAR members included. We hold are regular club meetings at a resturant or other dining establishment at least four times a year. We also enjoy picnics and cruise-ins as shown here. We also have pictures from parades, local tours, and garage tours throughout the year. Be sure to check out the Events Calendar for upcoming activities.

Luau - Ron & Sally B.'s

Luau Welcome

Contributed by Marcia S., from her Spoke Folks article

The day dawned bright and sunny, warm with the promise of spring in the air. Wait...oops!...that's the wrong story. Lets start again. Of course, the weather was wet, cold and dreary. We were on our way to a Hawaiian luau at the home of Ron and Sally B. Does anybody recall the time they hosted the Marmon Muster? Think Hurricane Ivan! Ah, now you remember.

As good a spot as any to enjoy the feast

Surprisingly, there were seven vehicles that made a convoy from Huntsville to Union Grove. Several more NAR members came directly to Ron & Sally's. The luau was moved into the house, where everyone was treated to roast pig prepared by our own fearless leader, Dan M. There was so much food that there was hardly room enough to serve it all.

Most of our company braved the elements to enjoy Ron and Sally's fine collection of antique cars and other interesting vehicles. There was good conversation and a great meal. I did notice some who definitely were not dressed for the weather. Such skimpy costumes! Shocking! Ask someone who was there; I'm too discrete to tell tales. As you all know, what happens in Union Grove, stays in Union Grove!
